We offer:* The convenience of a work-from-home lifestyle* The reach and impact of an established brand* The energy and dynamism of a startup* The stability of a profitable company with strong financials* A creative, entrepreneurial, friendly, and supportive culture* The ability to make a real, positive impact on the world* Highly competitive salary, health insurance, and generous vacation time**Responsibilities**We're looking for an exceptional engineering manager to lead our development team of 8 full-stack devs. This role requires a unique mix of technical leadership, people management, and process development. **People Management:** - Manage the developers, including providing coaching and mentoring, periodic 1:1s, and more formal feedback- Set expectations, measure results, and maintain a feedback cycle- Provide guidance with career development**Process Management:** - Work with the product and marketing teams to develop the product roadmap, then break it out into actionable tasks- Provide detailed technical specs, hold planning meetings, and assign tasks to developers- Track progress, and course correct as needed- Run our stand-up meetings and ensure that everyone has the information they need to succeed- Assume the role of unblocker-in-chief**Technical Leadership:** - Be the principal software architect - Make strategic technical decisions about technologies to adopt (or remove)- Work with the developers to re/architect the frontend and backend codebase- Set and document coding standards- Participate in code reviews. And, time permitting, ship code yourself. :)**Skills**In terms of specifics, we're looking for someone who checks these boxes:* Fluent in modern Javascript* At least 3 years of experience managing a software development team* At least 8 years of total software development experienceIn addition, here are some desirable qualifications:* Extensive experience using Vue.js / Vue Router / Vuex* Has used Firebase services, or similar, including Firebase Auth / Firestore / Cloud Functions / Hosting* Experience with Node.js* Background in testing, including unit testing (Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress)* A pro at Git / GitflowPrior work with a remote team* Contributions to the open source community* An interest in health, fitness, and wellness
