Sezzle has an incredible opportunity to make an impact within a growing FinTech startup! As the Engineering Manager - Merchant Products, you will be responsible for delivering on our vision for critical merchant-facing products. In this high-visibility role you will work closely with peer managers across the Lending, Payments, Shopper, and Finance teams to provide high-quality, scalable, and innovative products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 5-8 engineers. In addition, you will be responsible for high-visibility KPIs, code contributions, and providing data for stakeholders. You should be able to design and build software in compliance with coding standards and technical design while at the same time improving and building on our strong product and engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build and manage a team of software engineers as the teamâs capacity requirements grow
- Work within our software development lifecycle
- Prepare specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
- Organize, document and maintain software functionality
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Evaluate and deploy processes and metrics
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years' experience of working in a Computer Software Engineer or Software Developer position
- 2+ yearsâ experience leading a team of developers
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience working with product managers to develop requirements and specifications
- Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology, and release processes
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Financial industry experience, particularly as it relates to payments and/or e-commerce
- Significant experience in developing web applications at enterprise scale
- Good experience in designing interactive applications with test-driven development
- Experience with Go, React, AWS, React Native
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
